How Our Network Works

Talk to a local provider

Who You Talk To

When you reach out through Convinceexplanation Restoration, you are put in touch with an independent provider. That provider is a local business. They are not an employee of this site.

The provider is the one who visits your home, gives you a quote, and does the work.

What Happens on the Call

Say you call about a wet basement. The provider will likely ask a few simple things:

  • What happened, and when did you notice it?
  • Where is the water, and how deep is it?
  • Is the water clear, or does it look dirty?
  • Is the power still on in that area?

Have your photos handy. Your answers help them plan what to bring and who to send.

What to Ask a Provider

You do not need to know the trade. Ask clear questions and listen for clear answers.

  • Can you come look at it, and when? A good answer gives a realistic window and admits if they are busy.
  • How will you dry the structure? Listen for fans, dehumidifiers, and moisture readings.
  • Will I get a written quote? The answer should be yes, with the scope spelled out.
  • Are you licensed and insured where I live? Requirements differ by state, so ask for proof.
  • Can you help me document damage for a claim? Many can.

Red flags: pressure to sign right now, a price with no details, or a vague plan for drying.

You Are in Control

Talking to a provider does not lock you in. You can ask questions, compare quotes, and say no. Take your time to read anything before you sign.

Costs vary a lot by job. A small leak and a flooded basement are very different. Get the numbers in writing.
